FCAIB CONSIDERS PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL FROM KAINIU INVESTMENT NIGERIA LIMITED

In a release made available to the print and online media, the Head Public Relations Unit of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan (FCAIB) - Mrs. Oyekemi Wilson, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, announced that the Centenarian citadel of learning - FCA, Ibadan, held a proposal meeting with the Director of *Kainiu Investment Nigeria Limited*, *Mr. Olumuyiwa Adeyemo*, on a prospective partnership focused on the maintenance, marketing, and product enhancement of the *Kainiu Tricycle Device*, a locally developed innovation designed for low fuel consumption, easy maintenance, strong frame, and durable structure.
In his remarks, the Provost of FCAIB, *Prof. Jonathan J. Atungwu*, warmly welcomed Mr. Adeyemo to the premier agricultural institution in Nigeria and West Africa. He expressed appreciation for Kainiu Investment Nigeria Limited’s interest in partnering with the College and commended the *Dean, School of Agricultural Management and Vocational Studies, Mr. Eyitayo Atilade Oluade*, for facilitating the introduction of the proposal.
Prof. Atungwu described the initiative as a significant innovation that aligns with FCAIB’s commitment to promoting *green and sustainable agriculture*. He emphasized that the proposal reflects the College’s vision of supporting innovations that enhances agricultural productivity, reduce operational costs, and strengthen the agricultural value chain, particularly in the area of efficient movement of inputs and outputs between farms and markets.
He noted that such collaborations create opportunities for applied research, student training, and technology transfer, which are essential to modern agricultural practice.
Mr. Adeyemo, an indigene of the community and a proud advocate for local development, expressed his desire to collaborate with the College as part of his commitment to giving back to his home, immediate community and contributing to agricultural advancement within his local government area.
The *Kainiu Tricycle Device*, a *3-ton capacity* and an *18-litre fuel tank*, is designed to support agricultural logistics through efficient transportation of farm inputs and outputs.
In his closing assurance, *Prof. Atungwu* stated that the College Management would carefully review the proposal for possible areas of collaboration that will further advance the institution’s mandate in agricultural training, research, and extension services.
