Following the shocking abduction of Mrs. Busayo Adelabu John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, a prominent political leader and Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency hopeful, Honorable Samson Opeyemi Fatola, has called on Governor Seyi Makinde to activate all security architecture at his disposal to make Oyo State safe again.

Fatola, a major stakeholder in the state's political landscape popularly known as “Te s'oju e,” made this declaration while reacting to the disturbing security situation currently ravaging parts of the state capital.

He expressed deep concern over the audacity of the criminal elements who carried out the operation in broad daylight, stating that the continuous decline in public safety requires an immediate, strategic response from the state government.

The 2027 House of Representatives hopeful emphasized that securing the lives and properties of residents should transcend political affiliations, insisting that all hands must be on deck to dismantle the growing network of kidnappers and bandits in Oyo State.

While tasking Governor Makinde to empower and properly collaborate with relevant security agencies to handle the emergency, Fatola urged the government to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the immediate and unconditional release of Mrs. John-Paul, her twin sons, and all other innocent citizens trapped in captivity.

The parliamentary hopeful, who promised proper, responsible, and people-oriented representation for the people of Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency if elected come 2027, added that true governance can only thrive when the safety of the masses is fully guaranteed. He called on security operatives to scale up intelligence gathering to nip future occurrences in the bud.
