Dominion Broadcast Group repositioning, restructuring behind staff disengagement — GM, Segun Fawole
By Seyifunmi Odunuga
The recent disengagement of 11 permanent staff members and five contract workers at Dominion Broadcast Group was a strategic move aimed entirely at restructuring and repositioning the media organization for greater efficiency.
The newly appointed Group General Manager of the broadcast group, Segun Fawole, clarified the angle during an interview with Primus Media, emphasizing that the workforce adjustment was not a sign of distress, but a deliberate operational overhaul.
According to Fawole, the management initiated the exercise to revitalize the station's internal structure, maintain strict professionalism, and enhance the quality of service delivered to its audience.
"Yes, it's true there was a restructuring process. However, due diligence was carried out and it affected some individuals. There is no cause for alarm," Fawole stated, dampening any speculation of an internal crisis.
He noted that the repositioning is designed to ensure the broadcast outfit operates at peak standard, aligning its workforce with modern broadcasting demands.
"Dominion Broadcast Group is out to ensure professionalism and serve our teeming audience with 'Best Stories, Best Songs'," the General Manager added.
We gathered that the station's management is leveraging this restructuring to aggressively pursue its long-term corporate objectives.
Meanwhile, Dominion FM has assured its loyal listeners, advertisers, and key stakeholders of uninterrupted service, maintaining that regular on-air operations continue seamlessly despite the ongoing internal realignment.
