Reminiscing - King Sunny Ade Celebrates 70th Birthday in Style at Ile-Ife

History was made in Ile-Ife, Osun State, as music legend King Sunny Ade turned 70. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, hosted a grand celebration in his honor, with performances by top artistes including 2Face, Mega 99, Femi Solar, and Dele Bravo.
The event, organized by Apreel 1 Events Management, was a star-studded affair, with Ife chiefs, dignitaries, and youths in attendance. 2Face surprised guests with hits like 'One Love' and 'African Queen', while Mega 99 kept the crowd dancing for over 30 minutes.
King Sunny Ade received royal blessings from the Ooni, who praised his contributions to music. The event also featured award presentations to the Ooni, King Sunny Ade, and Alhaja Anike Alajogun.
Veteran actors Adebayo Salami, Jide Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, and Rasaq Olayiwola (Ojopagogo) were among the notable attendees. The CEO of Apreel 1 Events Management, Seyifunmi Odunuga (Seyichicago), expressed gratitude to the Ooni and guests for making the event a success.
The Ooni commended the organizers, saying, "It's important to celebrate people who have made an impact in their chosen fields. KSA deserved more than this, and I'm happy Ile-Ife and Osun State made it happen."
