- CORRECTION  -  something we published that you believe is wrong

- ADVERTISE  -  advertising, sponsored content and partnerships

Sending a news tip

Tell us what happened, where and when, who was involved, and how you know. Documents, photographs, links to other coverage and the names of people we can speak to all help. Tell us how to reach you, and say clearly if you want to remain unnamed  -  we will not publish anything that identifies you without your agreement.

Corrections and right of reply

If you are named in a story and want to respond, or you believe a report is inaccurate, write to us with CORRECTION in the subject line. Include the headline, a link to the story and the detail you dispute. We will look into it and come back to you.

How quickly we reply

Emails are read through the working week. Expect a reply within two working days, though a major story can slow us down. Something that cannot wait should say so in the subject line.

Advertising and sponsored content

For rates, formats and availability, email with ADVERTISE in the subject line and tell us what you are promoting. All paid content is labelled as sponsored or advertorial. We do not accept payment for news coverage, and we may decline advertising that conflicts with our standards or with the policies of our advertising partners.

What we cannot do

We cannot promise to cover an event or publish a release, and we cannot remove a story because someone dislikes it. We correct errors; we do not unpublish accurate reporting. Requests to remove content are considered against our corrections policy and our legal obligations.

Your privacy

Emails to the newsroom are treated as confidential, are never added to an advertising list, and are handled as described in our Privacy Policy .
