OYO NUJ CALLS FOR DISBANDMENT OF ALL TEAMS AND PLATFORMS FOR THE 2025 OYO NUJ ELECTION

The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, wishes to formally address all members on the status of the various teams, groups and platforms formed in the course of the 2025 Council election.
The election has been successfully conducted. With this, the purpose for which all campaign teams, support groups and election-related platforms were created has been fully achieved.
It is therefore important to emphasise that the NUJ remains one indivisible family, bound by shared values, common goals and a collective commitment to the progress of our union.
In the light of the above, all teams, groups and platforms formed solely for the 2025 Oyo NUJ election should be disbanded with immediate effect.
Members are also encouraged to disengage from such platforms and fully embrace the spirit of unity, cooperation and mutual respect that defines our union.
The leadership calls on all members to close ranks, put the election behind us and work together harmoniously in the overall interest of the NUJ, Oyo State Council.
Our collective strength lies in our unity, and the task of moving the council forward requires the support and participation of everyone.
