TPFI Welcomes Olubadan Ladoja as the New Oyo Council of Obas Chairman

The Progressive Forum, Ibadan (TPFI), has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his appointment as the Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs.

The Chairman, Mr Tunji Oladejo, described Oba Ladoja's ascension to the position as proof of his dedication, wisdom and leadership prowess in a release on Thursday by the Secretary of TPFI, Prince Kola Adelakin.

"As a seasoned statesman and former Governor of Oyo State, we have no doubt that you will excel in this new role, fostering unity, peace and development in our great State", Oladejo said.

The release added that Oba Ladoja's experience and vision will undoubtedly drive progress and prosperity for all residents of Oyo State.

TPFI pledged its support for the Olubadan Ladoja's leadership and expressed confidence that he will make significant contributions to the development of Oyo State.

 Recall that the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Thursday, 15 January 2026, inaugurated the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs with Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa 1, taking the helm as the Chairman for a two-year term. 

The rotational system, introduced through the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs (Further Amendments) Bill, 2025, aims to promote unity and cooperation among traditional institutions.
