All roads that led to Ilaa Ijesa in Atakunmosa West LG of Osun State were jam-packed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 with the who is who in the society that include monarchs, business stakeholders, celebrities, sons, daughters of Ijesaland, heavy and mighty in the entertainment industry, political icons, creme de la creme, and host of others gathered as the Alaa of Ilaa Ijesa, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Ojarotade David Adewale, Ogbeesun II, installed the entertainment guru and successful business man, Oba Ayinde Ademuyiwa Haastrup as the Olu of Omi - Funfun Kingdom
The coronation ceremony which started at 11 am prompt was held at the palace of Alaa of Ilaa Ijesa, Oba David Adewale Ojarotade, Ogbeesun II
From the palace, the convoy then moved to St. James Anglican Primary School Field, Ilaa Ijesa civic centre for reception.
While speaking with Apreel 1 Events TV monarchs, celebrities and some of the dignitaries present praised and hailed His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Ojarotade David Adewale for choosing Oba Ayinde Ademuyiwa Haastrup as Olu of Omi - Funfun Kingdom.
The dignitaries also lauded Oba Ayinde Ademuyiwa Haastrup as the man God sent to the community to use his business experience to develop the entire land of Omi - Funfun Kingdom.
Meanwhile, the new Olu of Omi Funfun Kingdom, Oba Ayinde Ademuyiwa Haastrup has extended his thank you message to the sons and daughters of IIaa Ijesa and Omi Funfun Kingdom and the entire guests present at the occasion for the love, moral and financial supports given him during the coronation ceremony.
He said, " I, His Royal Highness, the Olu of Omi Funfun Kingdom and the entire Haastrup Ajimoko family, extend our deepest gratitude to my good friends, distinguished guests, partners and well - wishers who honoured me with their presence at my installation and coronation ceremony as the Oba Olu of Omi Funfun Kingdom, Ijesa land.
" Your presence alone added colour, dignity and meaning to the celebration. I sincerely thank everyone who travelled far and near, adjusted schedules and made sacrifices to stand with me on this historic occasion."
The music legend and Agba Akin Abobagunwa of Yorubaland, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere who was in white attire dishing out good music on stage to entertain dignitaries present at the ceremony.
Dignitaries present at the event include His Royal Majesty, Oba Ezekiah Owolola, Adimula of ifewara and president, ijesa South Traditional Council, Oba Engr. Oluwafemi Agunsoye, Elegboro of ijebu Jesa and chairman of llaa Ijesa Day '2026, Oba Cornelius Omisade Agboluaje, Oloja of Ibodi chairman, Atakunmosa west local government Chieftaincy Committee , others included Oba Kehinde Oyebade Oyeleye, Ogboni of ipole ijesa, Chairman, Atakunmosa East Chieftaincy committe and other monarchs from Ijesa South and North traditional Councils, High Chief Baba Oba, Jagunmolu Alani Bankole, High Chief Baba Oba, Otunba Bode Oyedepo aka Bode de Way, Asiwaju of ijesa land, Chief Yinka lingthon Fasuyi, baba oba Ilaa ijesa and host of others.
