In a powerful display of national cohesion and spiritual solidarity, the State House played host to Nigeria's top traditional leaders on Monday evening. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima broke fast with the monarchs, marking a rare gathering of Yoruba royalty.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, and Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, were among those present.

The gathering highlighted the traditional institution's role in bridging government and grassroots, with President Tinubu emphasizing their "pivotal role" in maintaining peace and security. Discussions touched on the administration's economic reforms and the monarchs' contributions.
