Oyo Nuj Members Thumb Up To It's Chairman, Abas , His Team For Impressive Achievements In Just Two Months

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has given a thumbs up to its chairman, Comrade Akeem Abas, and his team, citing impressive achievements in just two months. 👍

At their monthly congress, members praised Abas' leadership, highlighting welfare initiatives, successful training programs, and revamped facilities at the Press Centre. They also commended Governor Seyi Makinde's government for the successful 50th anniversary celebration and developmental strides in key sectors.

However, the congress expressed concern over security challenges, urging the government to strengthen security measures and address rising cases of cultism and hooliganism in schools. They called on authorities to take decisive action and impose sanctions on schools failing to enforce discipline.

The NUJ council also urged the government to improve equipment and welfare for security personnel, return out-of-school children to classrooms, and clear streams to prevent flooding.
