Following earlier concerns about tension and provocation surrounding the attempted use of the PDP Secretariat at Ori Iyanrin by a group claiming to be allegedly working for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, FCA, it is reassuring that calm has returned and peace has been restored in Sagamu.
Director, Communication and Strategy to Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole, Bosun Davies Shoyoye (BDS) made the disclosure when addressing the Journalists in a telephone conversation. BDS said "I sincerely appreciate the timely and fatherly intervention of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, BL, LLM, FCA, FBR, Torungbuwa II, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland), whose leadership once again proved vital in preserving unity across Remoland."
He continued "I commend the Nigeria Police Force for their professionalism and swift response, particularly the DPO of Sakora Police Station. I also acknowledge the leadership of IGP Tunji Disu for the steady example of responsive and disciplined policing.
I recognize the PDP leadership in Sagamu, especially Chairman Deacon Adewale Adeyemi and Youth Leader Comrade Dumiye Kehinde, and all stakeholders who chose restraint and dialogue over confrontation.
BDS stated further that the outcome shows clearly that politics does not have to lead to conflict. With maturity and mutual respect, it can deliver peaceful and mutually beneficial resolutions.
Sagamu is our shared home. Protecting its peace is a responsibility we all carry.
As a politician with a difference, I remain committed to building a Nigeria where dialogue, fairness, and unity are the foundation, and where every citizen has the opportunity to win. Together, we can create a country that works for all Bosun Davies Shoyoye said.
