2026 Easter: Call to Hope, Peace and New Beginnings—Tunji Oladejo, TPFI Chairman
By Seyifunmi Odunuga
The Chairman of The Progressive Forum, Ibadan (TPFI), Mr. Tunji Oladejo, has extended warm Easter greetings to Nigerians, calling on families to draw strength from the resurrection of Jesus Christ in a period that demands courage and collective care, in a release by the Secretary of the Forum, Prince Kola Amoo Adelakin.
“May the resurrection bring renewed hope, unshakable faith and real joy,” Oladejo said. “Peace in our hearts, love at home and blessings that lift others—this is the Easter we should carry into our private and public lives", Oladejo added.
TPFI, a nonpartisan civic platform focused on education, health, enterprise and community security in Ibadanland, said its Easter message is both pastoral and practical; the season’s emphasis on new beginnings should inspire action on local jobs, environmental sanitation, school enrolment drives, neighbourhood safety, among others.
“As we celebrate this day, God’s grace should guide us toward new beginnings and greater happiness", Oladejo noted, adding that the Forum will continue its peace and security projects to support the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Aruṣa I; Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; and Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, during and after the Easter holiday.
The statement ended: “Rejoice, for He is risen and so must our sense of duty to one another". He prayed that Easter would bring happiness and joy, “knowing that even when we feel like giving up, there is still hope of resurrection" and asked that Christ’s rising fill every heart with hope and peace.
