"No meaningful development can be achieved for where fake news thrives . It is the truth that exalts the nation", Archbishop of Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese,His Grace ( Dr ) Williams Oluwarotimi Aladekugbe revealed.

The words of admonition was contained in the press release issued and signed by the Ibadan North Anglican Diocesan Communicator, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga after the pre - Synod meeting held at Archbishop palace,Moyede, Ibadan 

Bishop Aladekugbe observed that fake news is everywhere especially in the political arena, business centers, community, banking industries and even  places of worship 

According to Bishop Aladekugbe, Jesus Christ is the truth, resurrection and life thus the Clergy urged all and Sundry to be honest, truthful and disciplined, adding that we all will give the account of our stewardship to our creator after our sojourn on this planet 

Drawing his sermon from the Gospel according to Saint Luke Chapter 24:39, the Diocesan said Jesus resurrection is the foundation of Christianity for without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our worship is in vain as we would remain sinners .He called us to repentance and redemption 

The Archbishop reminded all the Diocesan Board members as well as worshippers in the Ibadan North Anglican Diocese to get ready and prepare for the 1st Session of the 10th Synod  of the Diocese starting on Thursday 14th May, 2026 at the Cathedral of St Peter, Aremo, Diocesan 

He urged both the Clergy and Laity to do the needful to ensure the huge success of the Synod 

Present at the meeting were the Provost of the Cathedral of St Peter, Aremo Very Rev'd Samuel Kayode Olawoyin,Archdeacons, Diocesan Officials, legal Luminaries,among others.
