Veteran politician Samson Opeyemi Fatola, popularly known as "Te s’oju e," has officially declared his candidacy for the House of Representatives, Ibadan Southwest/Northwest Federal Constituency.

Fatola will contest on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), aligning with the faction led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

A contender in the 2015 and 2023 electoral cycles, Fatola said his campaign is anchored on “Party Supremacy” and a return to institutional order within the PDP. He cited the March 2026 PDP National Convention in Abuja as the definitive roadmap for the party’s future.

“This is a movement for the people, by the people,” Fatola stated. “My alignment is with the legally constituted structures of our great party. We are moving away from individual supremacy toward true party supremacy. Our people deserve representation that is responsible, appropriate, and accountable to the collective will.”

Fatola’s campaign is built on the principle of "Service to Humanity." He pledged to support a transparent primary process and to reject dictatorial tendencies in the political space.

Following a strong showing in the 2023 Oyo State House of Assembly primaries, Fatola is leveraging deep grassroots support to bridge the gap between governance and constituents.

“As momentum builds toward the primary, the ‘Te s’oju e’ movement invites all stakeholders to join a vision where power truly returns to the people,” he added.
