Ìmọ́lẹ̀ Tún Ti Dé Sí Osun’ — Gbolarumi Hails Adeleke’s Second-Term Victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Hazeem Gbolarumi, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, on his victory in the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

Gbolarumi, in a press statement made available to newsmen, described Adeleke’s victory as a well-deserved second-term mandate, saying the outcome of the election showed clearly that the people of Osun State had spoken.

According to the results of the election, Adeleke secured victory in 19 of the 30 local government areas in the state, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, won 11 LGAs.

While congratulating the Osun governor, Gbolarumi prayed for greater wisdom, knowledge and understanding for Adeleke as he prepares to continue his administration for another term.

He said, “Congratulations to my brother, H.E. Sen. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, on your well-deserved 2nd term victory as the governor of Osun State!

“May Almighty Allah give you the ability to use more knowledge and deep understanding to make the best insightful decisions than what you have done in the past.

“Wishing you all the best in all your future endeavour. ‘Ìmọ́lẹ̀ tún ti dé sí ìpínlẹ̀ Osun!’”

Gbolarumi's message came against the backdrop of the keenly contested election, which saw Adeleke defeat his APC challenger across a majority of the local government areas in the state.

The Oyo PDP governorship candidate said Adeleke’s victory represented the decision of the electorate, stressing that the people had exercised their democratic choice through the ballot.

He further expressed optimism that the governor’s second term would provide an opportunity to deepen his administration’s efforts towards the development and progress of Osun State.

Gbolarumi also wished Adeleke success in his renewed mandate, praying that the governor would deploy greater wisdom and sound judgment in steering the affairs of the state.

He concluded his congratulatory message with the Yoruba expression, “Ìmọ́lẹ̀ tún ti dé sí ìpínlẹ̀ Osun,” which translates to “light has returned to Osun State.”
