In a major move ahead of the 2027 general elections, prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Samson Opeyemi Fatola, popularly known as "Te s'oju e," has officially obtained his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest for the Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
Following the collection of his forms, Fatola declared his alignment with institutional order, urging party faithful to embrace the principles of party supremacy and inclusive governance.
Speaking with journalists in Ibadan after obtaining the documents, Fatola described the milestone as a covenant to serve the grassroots. He noted that the time has come to redefine representation by ensuring that the dividends of democracy directly reach the constituents of Ibadan South-West and Ibadan North-West.
"Our campaign is a covenant to serve humanity. We are stepping forward to ensure that our people get the proper, responsive representation they deserve in the National Assembly. It is about collective development, not personal interest," Fatola stated.
Drawing from his years of active community and political engagement, Fatola unveiled a comprehensive blueprint aimed at driving socio-economic transformation across the federal constituency. His core focus areas include youth empowerment, economic development, revitalization of community education and healthcare, and ensuring an open-door policy for all constituents.
Fatola used the opportunity to express his unwavering loyalty to the PDP leadership in Oyo State, describing the platform as the best vehicle for inclusive governance and community development.
He appealed to party stakeholders, delegates, and the electorate for their support as the campaign progresses toward the primary elections.
