ADELABU’S SISTER’S RESCUE: OPEYEMI FATOLA COMMENDS POLICE, DEMANDS URGENT RESCUE OF ABDUCTED ORIRE SCHOOLCHILDREN, TEACHERS

Following the successful operation by security agencies in Oyo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, Honorable Opeyemi Fatola, has lauded the Nigeria Police Force for their exceptional gallantry in rescuing the sister of Chief Adebayo Adelabu alongside her twin, and safely uniting them with their family.

Fatola, who expressed immense relief over the safe return of the high-profile victims, described the breakthrough as a powerful demonstration of what the nation's security apparatus can achieve when backed by actionable intelligence, tactical precision, and a swift response mechanism. He added that the rescue has significantly restored confidence and brought a sigh of relief to residents across the Ibadan metropolis who had been gripped by tension following the incident

However, the federal legislative hopeful strongly noted that while the state celebrates this tactical victory, the government and security forces must not lose sight of the ongoing tragedy in Oriire Local Government Area. He used the occasion to issue an impassioned plea to the security agencies to deploy the exact same intensity, urgency, and operational excellence toward securing the unconditional release of the dozens of schoolchildren and teachers who were forcefully abducted from their classrooms.

Emphasizing that the life of every citizen holds equal weight under the law, Fatola maintained that the lingering captivity of the vulnerable school pupils and their educators remains a heavy burden on the conscience of the state. He urged Governor Seyi Makinde and the federal security heads to sustain aggressive bush combing and intelligence gathering to bring a definitive end to the trauma being faced by the families of the Oriire victims, while calling on the public to continuously feed the police with timely information to secure the state.
