‘I rescued Makinde’: Ex-park manager, Auxiliary, reveals how he ‘disrupted’ PDP primary to stop Gbolarumi
Former Chairman of the Park Management System in Oyo State, Mukaila Lamidi, popularly known as Auxiliary, has sensationally claimed that he was responsible for ensuring Governor Seyi Makinde secured the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial ticket for his second term.
In a resurfaced video from a one-on-one interview, Auxiliary asserted that the Governor would have lost the primary election to his rival, Hazeem Gbolarumi, had he not intervened. According to him, Gbolarumi commanded the support of more delegates than the incumbent Governor at the time of the exercise.
The former park manager boasted that he knew exactly what he did to “disrupt” the primary election, a move he admits turned him into an enemy of Gbolarumi, who is currently the PDP gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 elections.
