Family marks late Abdulazeez Gbolarumi’s 50th posthumous birthday anniversary**

The family of the late **Alhaji Abdulazeez Bolatito Olaoye Akanji Gbolarumi (Olugbesan)** has commemorated his 50th posthumous birthday anniversary, describing him as a man whose legacy of integrity, humility and service continues to inspire generations.

In a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, the family said the late patriarch remained a symbol of exemplary fatherhood and leadership, noting that his values continue to reflect in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The statement read, “We miss you every day, and we continue to see so much of your beautiful spirit in our family. Today, we honour and celebrate an incredible father, grandfather and great-grandfather whose love, wisdom and sacrifices laid a solid foundation for generations after him.”

The family recalled the late Gbolarumi by his traditional praise names, **“Olumini, Ọmọ Sẹ́kẹ́ Onídè, Afáwọ̀ dá'ká ń gbóná,”** saying his memory remains cherished by family members, friends and associates.

They also prayed for the repose of his soul.

“May Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive his shortcomings, illuminate his grave and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen,” the statement added.

The late Alhaji Abdulazeez Gbolarumi was the father of **former Oyo State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi**, who is currently the **Peoples Democratic Party candidate** for the forthcoming general election.

According to the family, the late patriarch's enduring legacy of faith, discipline and commitment to humanity continues to serve as a source of inspiration to those he left behind.
