OLUBADAN INAUGURATES COMMITTEE ON INTEGRATION OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE AND ORTHODOX MEDICINE

His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr ) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1) has inaugurated a committee on the integration of both the Traditional Medicine and Orthodox Medicine today 1st July,2026 at the committee room of the Olubadan Palace,Oke Aremo, Ibadan 

Speaking through the Director General in the Olubadan Palace, Dr Basiru Olanrewaju,Oba Ladoja said the main 9reason for the said integration is to ensure that both the Traditional and Orthodox Medicines compliment each other for the effective health care delivery in the interest of the people not only in Ibadanland but Nigeria as a nation 

The Inaugural speech was contained in the press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga shortly after the Inaugural Meeting 

" I believe in the efficacy of traditional medicine for I use it and it works, so there is a need for the two to compliment each other in the areas of health care delivery", the paramount ruler further stressed 

Olubadan urged the committee members drawn from the relevant stakeholders to make his dream a reality for the betterment of all and Sundry

Present at the Inaugural Meeting were the representatives from Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria ( FRIN ) , Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Olubadan Palace, other researchers among others 

It was agreed that the committee members will be meeting periodically to ensure the assignment is effectively carried out
